This is probably the five thousandth method to boil an egg that you’re looking at. Everyone does it differently and everyone claims it’s the perfect fail-safe! I boiled my first egg a week ago. That’s right. Now you might be all, what does she know, she’s done it only about a handful of times in her whole life! Trust me, gentle reader, because every one of those times was PERFECT!
Place eggs in a single layer in a saucepan and cover them with water so they are submerged by an inch. Bring to a boil on medium high and boil for 1 minute. Take off heat, cover fully and let sit for 12 minutes. Plunge the eggs in cold water to stop them cooking further. Crack and peel once cooled. Voilà!
